About Profhilo®
Profhilo is an award-winning, ‘beneath the skin’ injectable moisturiser with the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid on the market.
Profhilo has exceptional benefits as a powerful moisturiser drawing in water into the deep layers of the skin. Its unique complex also stimulates the production of four different types of collagen & elastin, resulting in improved texture and condition to the skin.
Profhilo can have a lifting and firming effect to the skin, giving the skin a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.
Profhilo is typically administered just below the skin to 5 injection sites on each side of the face – 10 injections in total. The product spreads evenly under the skin to an area of around 4cm from each injection site. Profhilo hydrates the layers of the skin with highly concentrated hyaluronic acid, deeply moisturising and stimulating collagen & elastin production.
The most common place for Profhilo to be administered is to the face. However, it can also be used to treat other areas lacking moisture, firmness and elasticity to stimulate collagen and elastin. These include; inner arms, abdomen, décolletage, hands and neck.
Despite both dermal fillers and Profhilo® containing Hyaluronic acid, they are not the same. Profhilo® will not directly sculpt the face or add volume but due to its deep hydrating and stimulating activity, the face can appear firmer, lifted and luminous.
The treatment protocol for optimal effects suggest Profhilo should be administered at week 0, week 4 and every 6 monthly thereafter. Results can be seen after one treatment, but it is recommended to follow the suggested treatment regimen to reap the optimal benefits of Profhilo. Results of treatment tend to show around 6-8 weeks post initial treatment and last around 6 months, if not longer in certain cases.
